Perhaps you know that Boise has almost 1,000 miles of sewers under our streets, or that our West Boise water renewal facility cleans 24 million gallons of used water a day. But do you know what happens to the....er...solids? In Boise, the solid waste you contribute to our sewer system can be transformed into fertilizer to grow food for cattle. This means your cheeseburger might have been more circular than you realized! Join the City of Boise's Farm Manager to learn how our city turns waste into a valuable resource, contributing to a green future. Then, join our artist instructor to do a recycled craft!
Registration and $15 workshop fee required; ACTIVITY # 125006-03.
